THE SCHOOL BOARD OF
ESCAMBIA COUNTY, FLORIDA
MINUTES, MARCH 11, 2004
The School Board of Escambia County, Florida, convened in a Town Hall Meeting at 6:00 p.m., at Woodham High School, 50 East Burgess Road, Pensacola, Florida, with the following present:
Chairman: Mrs. Cary Stidham Vice Chairman: Dr. John DeWitt
Board Members: Mr. Gary Bergosh
Mr. Ronnie L. Clark
Ms. Linda Finkelstein (was not present*)
School Board Attorney: Mr. Francisco M. Negron, Jr. (was not present)
Superintendent of Schools: Mr. Norm Ross, Deputy Superintendent, represented Mr. Jim Paul
[NOTE: This was the third of five Town Hall Meetings to be held (one for each district), in order to provide an opportunity for parents and citizens to voice concerns to the Board and Superintendent regarding various educational issues.]
I. CALL TO ORDER
Mrs. Stidham called the Town Hall Meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. *She noted that Ms. Finkelstein could not be present, as she was attending a community meeting at Ernest Ward Middle School.
II. DISCUSSION BETWEEN THE BOARD AND CITIZENS REGARDING VARIOUS EDUCATIONAL ISSUES

The Board recognized Alfonso Gilley, who addressed his concerns regarding various educational issues.
On behalf of the Board, Mrs. Stidham thanked everyone for attending. There being no further business, the Town Hall Meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
