ESCAMBIA COUNTY, FLORIDA
MINUTES, AUGUST 14, 2001
The School Board of Escambia County, Florida, convened in Special Meeting at 4:00 p.m., in the Superintendents Conference Room, at the Dr. Vernon McDaniel (Administration) Building, 215 West Garden Street, Pensacola, Florida, with the following present:
Chairman: Dr. John DeWitt
Vice Chairman: Mrs. Cary Stidham
Board Members: Mr. Gary L. Bergosh
Ms. Linda Finkelstein
Dr. Elmer Jenkins
School Board Attorney: Mr. Francisco Negron, Jr.
Superintendent of Schools: Mr. Jim Paul
I. ADOPTION OF AGENDA
There being no objection, the agenda was adopted by unanimous consent.
II. REQUEST FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS COLLABORATIVE BARGAINING ISSUES
The Board collectively agreed to meet in Executive Session pursuant to Florida Statutes, Section 447.605(1), 286.011 for the purpose of discussing collaborative bargaining issues.
(Note that Dr. John DeWitt, Mrs. Cary Stidham, Mr. Gary L. Bergosh, Ms. Linda Finkelstein, Dr. Elmer Jenkins, Mr. Francisco Negron, Jr., Mr. Jim Paul, Mr. Wallace Odom, Assistant Superintendent for Financial and Business Affairs, Mr. Gene Pettis, Chief Negotiator, and Ms. Barbara Linker, Director of Budgeting were in attendance at the Executive Session which immediately followed this meeting.)
