The School Board of Escambia County, Florida, convened as a Board Panel at a Rotary Club luncheon, at 12:00 p.m., in the Spanish Room, at New World Landing, 600 South Palafox Street, Pensacola, Florida, with the following present:

Chairman: Dr. John DeWitt                  Vice Chairman: Mrs. Cary Stidham

Board Members: Mr. Gary L. Bergosh

Ms. Linda Finkelstein (was not present)

Dr. Elmer Jenkins

Attendees began gathering in the Spanish Room shortly after 12:00 p.m. for lunch. Ms. Jean Norman, Rotary Club, introduced the members of the School Board.  She noted that Ms. Finkelstein was observing the Jewish holiday, Rosh Hashanah, and therefore could not be in attendance.  She stated that the purpose of this luncheon was to give Rotary Club members an opportunity to pose questions regarding various issues that they believed were of concern to the community.  Board Members responded to questions posed by Rotarians.

The luncheon ended at 1:00 p.m.
