ESCAMBIA COUNTY, FLORIDA
MINUTES, MAY 20, 2002
The School Board of Escambia County, Florida, convened in Special Meeting at 8:00 a.m., in the Superintendents Conference Room, at the Dr. Vernon McDaniel (Administration) Building, 215 West Garden Street, Pensacola, Florida, with the following present:
Chairman: Dr. John DeWitt
Vice Chairman: Ms. Linda Finkelstein
Board Members: Mr. Gary L. Bergosh
Mrs. Cary Stidham
Dr. Elmer Jenkins
School Board Attorney: Mr. Francisco M. Negron, Jr. (was not present)
Superintendent of Schools: Mr. Jim Paul
I. ADOPTION OF AGENDA
There being no objection, the agenda was adopted by unanimous consent.
II. REQUEST FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS COLLABORATIVE BARGAINING ISSUES
The Board collectively agreed to meet in two separate Executive Sessions to discuss collaborative bargaining issues. (A special Executive Session began at 8:02 a.m., followed by the regularly scheduled Executive Session at 9:00 a.m.)
[Note that Dr. John DeWitt, Ms. Linda Finkelstein, Mr. Gary Bergosh, Mrs. Cary Stidham, Dr. Elmer Jenkins, Mr. Francisco M. Negron, Jr., Mr. Jim Paul, Mrs. Barbara Linker, Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Business Affairs, Dr. Doug Garber, Director of Human Resources Services, and Mr. Gene Pettis, Chief Negotiator, were in attendance for both Executive Sessions.]
The Special Meeting adjourned at 8:02 a.m.
