The mission of Spencer Bibbs Academy is to implement a variety of proven educational strategies, including technology, to ensure that all students have the opportunity to receive an education appropriate for the 21st century, regardless of their social, economic, ethnic, or racial background.

Our Philosophy is that we believe that each child has a right to a quality education regardless of his/her social, economic, ethnic, or racial background.  We further believe that a student-centered approach, utilizing the latest technology as a tool to aid in individualized instruction, is essential to creating academic success for each student.  We recognize that each individual student must be actively involved in the learning process, making the student more responsible for his/her learning.  We believe the more a student is involved in the educational process, the more he/she internalizes both the information gained and the skills used in attaining the information.  We contend that the responsibility to help students grow and develop academically, socially, emotionally, and physically must be shared by the parents, staff, community, and students.
