FCAT Retake Test will be administered on the following dates:
October 10-11, 2011 (Reading)
October 12, 2011 (Math)
This test is mainly for students in the 11th or 12th grade and post high school graduates who have not passed the required 10th grade Reading and Math FCAT. Students must be at the school no later than 8:45 am to take the required test. No student will be allowed to enter the testing area late.
All post high school graduates need to contact Mrs. Crumm 327-6681 ext. 223 at Northview to register by October 3rd, 2011. Anyone needing additional information may also call Mrs. Crumm or click here to email her.
Student tutors are available before school to offer assistance (8:00- 8:40). Tutors will meet with you in the library before school. You will need to sign up at least 1 day prior and list the subject that you are requesting assistance for. The signup sheet will be available in the library. If you sign up for tutoring and do not show up, you will lose the chance to have future student tutoring.

Credits earned from state or regionally public or private schools will be accepted based on face value and subject to validation on an official transcript. Home Education credits are accepted on the basis of criteria set forth in the Student Progression Plan.
Promotion in high school is determined by the credits earned in a school year plus other approved programs. Placement in homerooms is also based on the number of credits a student has earned. Students must earn the following number of credits to be promoted and placed in the next higher grade level homeroom:

The Escambia County School District operates the adult and community school program at selected high schools. Additional satellite classes are held at elementary and middle schools, community centers, and workplaces located throughout the community. Community school classes are organized in response to requests of students and generally meet evenings and Saturdays. The community school coordinator at each high school can provide additional information.
Work or credits earned in a Florida state-approved adult education program for purposes of acceleration or remediation shall be applied to requirements for graduation for a standard high school program provided that:
The purpose of the dual enrollment program which provides articulation between high schools and post secondary institutions is to provide advanced instructional experiences for academically talented students. The articulation agreement between Escambia County School District, UWF, and Pensacola State College sets the following guidelines:

Classes are available at all sites. Most students are served in a varying exceptionalities model in which students with various disabilities are educated in the same classroom. These students are grouped based on functioning level. The range of service options extends from consultation to self-contained classrooms. Some disabilities may require specialized classes.

Career education is a comprehensive study program with structured career paths leading to continuous education beyond high school and to life-long learning. This process begins in elementary school with career awareness activities that enhance the student's understanding of self, career options, and the role of technology. It continues in the middle with career and technical exploratory classes which help students develop long range plans for the high school and post secondary years. High school students are provided the opportunity to participate in a variety of career and technical programs of study. This continuous process prepares a student after high school to attend a university, community college, or vocational technician training center and/or technical college. It prepares a student for entry into any career field. Please refer to your guidance counselor for updated information.
